Product description
Colostrum replacement for newborn foals
Newborn foals do not yet have their own antibodies to protect them against infections. These are only produced in sufficient quantities after approximately 3 to 5 weeks. Until then, the foal relies on antibodies obtained from colostrum (first milk).
If the mare produces no colostrum or an insufficient amount, it is essential to act quickly. Antibodies can only pass through the intestinal wall during the first day after birth. Absorption is very effective during the first 12 hours, but after 24 hours the foal can absorb very few antibodies.
Pavo Colostrum has been specially developed to provide support in situations where a foal does not receive enough colostrum from its dam.
Features:
- Provides newborn foals with vital antibodies to help protect against infections
- Supports the natural development of immunity and vitality
- Stimulates digestive activity
- Long shelf life (18 months)
- Quick and easy to prepare
- Suitable for orphan foals
- Ideal for foals whose dam produces little or no colostrum

Technical Description:
Composition: Colostrum. Analytical constituents: Crude protein: 17.8% Crude fat 18.4% Crude fiber 4.4% Crude ash 9.6% Sodium 0.25%.
Usage Instruction:
If the foal refuses the colostrum, you can stimulate its appetite by spreading a little sugar on its tongue. Do not force the foal to eat by bending its head backwards. The foal will not be able to swallow well and there is a risk of milk getting into the lungs. Do not give more than 500 ml of Colostrum per hour. Too much intake can lead to intestinal disorders. Pay attention to hygiene. Prepare the milk with clean hands and rinse the teat, bottle and drinking cups well after use.
