Pelham Short, Tongue Port Snaffle Soft

The tongue port bar has an especially flattened shape to the port. This gives the tongue optimum room. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. This bit is also very well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to get their tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. This mouthpiece is thus eminently suited to horses that do not tolerate traditionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react by head-shaking or similar.

The Pelham - a classic bit, now in a more elegant and enhanced design. When the reins are applied, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on the shank length (5 cm or 7.5 cm), the bit can be angled directly in the mouth to varying degrees. Can be used on horses that have difficulty coming through at the poll, "hot" horses, or on horses that need significant input in critical situations (such as jump offs or similar). The Pelham is supplied with curb hooks. Supplied without curb chain.
